CHAIRMAN ADDRESSES THE NEW ENTRANTS
Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, addressed the students of the Bridge Course. He gave a call to have a vision in life and that there is a vast difference between a ‘ job’ and a ‘profession’. Students should aspire to gain a profession than just a job and this comes only by being on the cutting edge of technology. He also added that side by side they should find enjoyment in their work.
He said, “Mathematics is the backbone of Engineering.” One should involve oneself fully in learning and that interacting with their teachers will go a long way. He cautioned the students to begin work on their project from day one by tapping into their potential. There is a code of conduct that one should be mindful of and the college should be treated as a holy place where students should maintain discipline, attendance and a dress code. Ultimately it is not only the marks that one gains that will get them ahead in life but the overall development of the individual who is able to integrate himself with society.
