ALPHA FLYING CLUB INAUGURATED IN SAHYADRI

Alpha Flying Club was inaugurated at Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management. Mr. Amar N. Reddy, Director, Business Development and Sourcing, Textron India, the Chief Guest, gave an explanation of the journey and coverage of technology in terms of manufacturing and development of aircrafts worldwide with special focus on India.

Mr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, talked about need for innovation and the role of such clubs in an Engineer’s life. The objective of this club is to provide a platform to showcase the skill set and innovative mind of students and to promote and nurture the knowledge acquisition of all phases of aircraft design and development, by initiating, supporting and participating in projects. Dr. Timothy G. Lenihan, Dean – Research, was the Guest of Honour for the inauguration. Students were excited to learn about the combination of practical maneuver and display of aircraft design
