Sahyadri is graced by the visit of Dr. Raghunandan, a renowned District Surgeon from McGann Hospital, Shimoga. McGann Hospital is government run hospital and part of the Shimoga Institute of Medical Sciences. It is named after a famous surgeon from the UK named T.G. McGann. As a district surgeon, Dr. Raghunandan’s duties involve providing guidance to officers and health institution staff under the District Medical and Health Office; and liaising with other district as well as higher authorities in health aspects.

Visitors to Sahyadri have always come from different fields. Sahyadri has hosted educationists, businessmen, politicians and also doctors in the past. And as is customary the guests have been received at the campus with warmth and cordiality.

Dr. Raghunandan having received a similar welcome had a fruitful interaction with the chairman and management. The chairman accompanied Dr. Raghunandan around the campus and talked to him about the campus’ biggest achievements and academic accomplishments.

Dr. Raghunandan visited various departments, labs, innovation centres and start-ups. He had deep admiration for the student-centric initiatives undertaken by the college. Further, he was impressed with the robust infrastructure and said it is praiseworthy. He lauded the chairman for the unique education system established at Sahyadri.
