International Conference on Agribusiness Management – Opportunities and Challenges
Department of Business Administration in association with National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad is organizing three days International conference from 09th to 11th October, 2014 at Sahyadri campus Mangalore. University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences, Shimoga Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kasaragod are supporting this conference as knowledge partner.
Dr. Chowdappa P, Director, Central Plantation Crops Research Institute, Kasaragod, Inaugurated the program. In his inaugural address, he spoke about the shift from agriculture to agribusiness, attracting young stars towards agribusiness by making agribusiness a profitable venture.
Dr. Umesh. M Bhushi, Principal , Sahyadri college of Eng & Management gave the welcome address, Dr A.P Achar, Director-, Dept of Business Administration- SCEM gave the overview of the conference. Dr. P. Chandra Shekara, Director – Agribusiness centre, MANAGE Ministry of Agriculture, Govt of India was the Theme note speaker for the program.
Dr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman, Bhandary foundation in his presidential address spoke about the culture and business in agri. He gave many examples of his life to define the culture in agri. Prof Lokesh, Conference co-coordinator proposed the vote of thanks for the inaugural program.
Around 200 delegates including 35 international delegates from 3 countries were the part of inaugural program.
