Mr. Rahul Kharge, son of Sri. Mallikarjun Kharge, former Minister of Railways and a well wisher of Sahyadri visited the campus along with his family. He completed his research from Indian Institute of Science and cleared the UPSC exam and was selected for Indian Revenue service, after the completion of training he resigned from the service as he was not convenient with the job. Currently he is an advisor for IT companies.

He and his wife Arundhati Kharge, an Electrical Engineer from BMS appreciated the ambience and infrastructure of the college.
