Department of Civil Engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management Mangalore organized a Ten Days event was supported by Vishvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and in association with Association of consulting civil engineers, Indian concrete institute, Karnataka Mangalore Centre and Government research center, Sahyadri and industrial partners were Ramco Cement, Ultratech Cements and CADD Centre Mangaluru” commenced on 15th January 2015 and concluded on 24th January 2015. A total of 40 participants have attended the programme.
The Valedictory Session was held on 24th January 2015 at 3.30 P.M. in Sahyadri Campus. The Session began with a short video presentation of ten days activities and events. Er. Ananda Kumar S. K, Managing Director, Master Plannery, Putturwas the Chief Guest. While welcoming the chief guest and manydignitaries,Chief Guest highlighted the activities & initiative taken by Dept. of civil engineering, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management on the ten days Finishing school programme. Later the Chairman of the institution Dr. Manjunath Bhandary, Chairman while appreciating the role of Finishing School programme, Spoke about the strong need for development of Engineering Skills for Civil Engineering Students. All the participants have shown their satisfaction in respect of the content, delivery and presentations of all the topics covered during the programme and participants also appreciated their study with a view to become employable/ entrepreneur in the construction industries.
