The Orientation for the parents of the new entrants to the engineering stream was held in the Campus. Chairman, Manjunath Bhandary, extended a warm welcome and addressed the gathered parents, providing them an insight to the overall growth of the college since the inception. He stated that engineering is a process of learning the concepts, rather than only studying. He urged the parents to extend their complete cooperation in making their ward a real engineer when they walk out of the campus on completion of the engineering course. Personality and skill development to be imbibed in an individual and parents are responsible for inculcating those values in their ward, he said.

He provided an overview to the gathered parents regarding the Project based learning culture adopted in the institute. He mentioned about the platform provided to the students to compete at the national and international level events. He encouraged the parents to share their responsibilities with their wards and develop a friendly relationship with them. He also advised the parents to make their ward self-dependent, and insisted that skill and personality development be taught from home. He also advised the parents to make their children self-dependent and suggested to avail educational loan in order to make their child financially responsible.
